My latest trips have taken me through 6 countries and 9 cities so let me just summarize what’s to come:

Tallinn, Estonia

Riga, Valmiera and Cēsis, Latvia

Vilnius, Lithuania

Warsaw, Poland (again)

Belgrade, Serbia

Sarajevo and Mostar, Bosnia-Herzegovina

Obviously I’ve got a lot of ground to cover so it’s been a bit overwhelming trying to figure out where to start.

Actually, I say that, but I ABSOLUTELY do know where to start. It has nothing to do with any of the sights I’ve seen and how many more places I can check off my list. I need to introduce you to all the wonderful friends I’ve met along the way because without them I wouldn’t be able to say I’ve been anywhere at all.

Mariann and Silver from Tallinn

Daiga and Artis from Riga

Monika and Ieva from Vilnius

Ola and Ewa from Warsaw (Round 2!)

Milos from Belgrade and Jean-Michel from Montreal

Maya (on the left) from Belgrade

Majda and Lamia from Sarajevo

Zorana from Mostar

Aw, I really miss these girls and guys! Couchsurfing connected me with all of them but it was fate that bonded us. MY GOD that sounds lame, but it’s so true. There is no guarantee that you are going to get along with the people you stay with or meet for a drink, but I honestly think I was given the gift of connecting with incredible people on Couchsurfing—and I have yet to be proven wrong.
