So I just realized that I have failed to mention anything about the trip I took to Istanbul last October aside from just saying that I went. That’s a pretty stupid move on my part since it is one of the coolest cities I have ever visited, but I’ve been way hella busy, dudes.
One day I will get some more detailed posts up, but until that time comes, why don’t you head on over to Matador Trips to see the photo essay I had published called Istanbul through an iPhone lens. This is my favorite piece of published work on Matador because it was my first piece of published work on Matador and pretty much sums up what I did in 10 days with just a bit of lite reading – my kind of “reading”.
Also, I’m throwing in 10 more photos here that didn’t make the cut just for good measure. I was an iPHONEOGRAPHIC MACHINE while I was there which made narrowing down the shots to include in the essay pretty difficult. I easily have a hundred more. Good thing I got this blog rolling and they won’t remain hidden in the depths of my external hard drive forever…

Dinner time in Taksim

I really like the black and white shot of the back alley. Looks like it could be a different time period!

I know, I love that one too! Funny thing is that it kind of felt that way too as it was happening. Guess that’s what makes Istanbul so special :)
Brilliant work. Love em
Thank you! You’ve got some great stuff as well :)
Great shots! I never get tired of filters.
“Dinner time in Taksim” looks a little futuristic, like Blade Runner, and the back alley one seems very old.
Istanbul looks great. You just bumped it up a couple places on my ‘to go’ list.

Istanbul is incredible, I can’t believe I waited so long to go. And totally agree, I am obsessed with filters even though for some they may seem too “overprocessed”.
Love all your photos as well! I really do need to get back to Madrid, I have a feeling my iPhone will fall in love with it :)
lovely photography, these lens can really do wonders.
